Application 1.) Crabgrass pre-emergent plus Fertilizer. Applied before April 15th each year. Application 2.) Granular Fertilizer. Applied beginning of May to stimulate germination and early greening. Application 3.) Liquid Broadleaf Herbicide. Applied to prevent germination of unsightly weed plants. Application 4.) Granular Fertilizer. Applied in early June to reduce summer drought stress. * Insecticide for grub control may be needed if the lawn that has not been treated for more than 12 months. Application 5.) Granular Fertilizer. Applied the beginning of September to heal any damages. Application 6.) Granular Fertilizer. Applied in October to help keep your lawn healthy and green. As with all fertilizing programs, there are many variables to consider . Temperature, precipitation, mowing height and frequency, proper drainage, wind, and insect control can all play a major role in how your lawn looks. Typically, a mowing season will begin in early to mid-April, and last until late November. Frequency of mowings may be changed throughout the season to accommodate temperature and precipitation issues.
